Brisbane’s Wintergarden centre in the city's CBD has confirmed further new fashion retailers moving in.

ISPT development director Chris McCluskey said new retailers named this week will join international and home grown labels Coach, French Connection, Lisa Ho and RM Williams in calling Wintergarden home.

“We’re pleased to announce that designer Sam Wagner has chosen Wintergarden as the location for her first Queensland Sambag store,” McCluskey said.

Sam's signature ballet flats are a favourite with the stylish and count celebrities from Elle Macpherson and Hilary Swank to Dakota Fanning among their many fans.

“Cosmetics giant Mecca Maxima and iconic British menswear label Ben Sherman have also added their names to our list of high calibre retailers.

“Joining them is Tommy Hilfiger with the international fashion brand choosing to open its first Brisbane premium retail store at Wintergarden.”

Blooms and Maggie T will return to Wintergarden while Seed, French Connection, Coach and Cue will all open flagship stores in the new centre.

McCluskey said tenant fit out was about to commence.

The full list of Wintergarden’s confirmed fashion retailers so far is: Ben Sherman, Coach, Cue, French Connection, Lee, Rockport, Lisa Ho, Seed, Georg Jensen, RM Williams, Rodd and Gunn, Veronika Maine, Wittner, Camper, Tommy Hilfiger and Sambag.

With a number of stores having concluded their negotiations and just awaiting finalisation of the lease documentation, McCluskey said additional retailer announcements would be made in the coming weeks.

“There has been a lot of speculation and interest around who these additional tenants might be,” he said.

The Wintergarden is currently undergoing a $100 million transformation.

Stage One of the development is now open with flagship stores including Swarovski, Rodd & Gunn and RM Williams as well as additional retailers including Wittner, Georg Jensen and Anthony’s Fine Jewellery.

Stage Two, which will feature more than 50 stores and a 750 seat food court, is due for completion in early April this year.

Aquila is opening, Mollini went in Queens Plaza and Marcs may open in Wintergarden in the future. It is wonderful.

John so cynical, does not matter, it's a major step forward but I hope it is ready in a week or so, so sick of waiting.

You forgot Dinosaur Designs IS confirmed they were going to change their minds but the market for them is good here, better than Melbourne. The rest are rumours ie Midas, Mollini, Carla Zimpatti are possible, but Morrison Clothing look unlikely. Dirtbox also is moving not sure about Garfunkle from Broadway, but generally we will still be way behind Sydney and Melbourne. It should have been more designers and Aquila. John Ho and Maggie are coming back but Blooms was not going to but had gotten a lot of demand so that's why it is back, not because of free rent.

That's funny: I am sure several of these "new" tenants were in the centre previously - commencing from its last major refurbishment. Several of the last batch of new tenants moved out quickly; once their extensive free rent, and other come-on-board incentives ran out...
