Tattoo-inspired Japanese concept hits London
Horiyoshi the Third flagship in London

Horiyoshi the Third has opened its flagship store in London, the company's first branded retail store and a focal point of its burgeoning global presence.

The Horiyoshi the Third store is located at 19 Connaught St in London and features a range of men's and women's clothing and accessories with designs inspired by tattoo artistry.

The store design reflects the culture appeal of the Horiyoshi brand and showcases the company's trend setting fashions.

"We are extremely pleased with the look and feel of our new store and have dedicated a great deal of thought to how the location integrates into our overall vision for the brand," said Mitsuo Kojima, president of Horiyoshi Worldwide.

"We feel the location serves as an inflection point that offers close proximity to European fashion centres, which are influential in our design process, while also allowing us to exploit the high level of brand recognition we have in the UK.

"As I have stated in the past, our goal is to expand our base in Europe, build our presence in the US and introduce the brand to the many markets we have targeted in Asia.  We are committed to implementing this strategy and the new store in London is an integral part of the plan," he said.

Hiroyoshi the Third products are manufactured, designed and marketed by Horiyoshi Worldwide. The designs are mainly based on the artistry of Yoshihito Nakano (Horiyoshi III), the world renowned Japanese tattoo artist.

"I am personally gratified to have been an important member of the team that created our first retail store.  My close colleagues and I were in a unique position to appreciate the importance of the UK and Europe to Horiyoshi while understanding the imagery and feel that would resonate with the public," Dawn Green, commercial director of Horiyoshi Worldwide said.

"I believe this store has the opportunity to capture the imagination of the public and will serve not only as a model for additional stores but can be copied in any retail setting. We have seen great enthusiasm regarding our new location and everyone is excited about the development of the Horiyoshi brand."

The London flagship will be the company's model for setting up additional stores in the UK where Horiyoshi Worldwide feels as a strategic location for the evolution of the brand.
