Fashion house Alexander McQueen, in partnership with Joyce creative director Sarah Burton, has unveiled its first boutique in China.
"The death of Alexander McQueen and the appointment of Sarah Burton as chief designer has changed the scale of Alexander McQueen's potential. That is why we have taken the decision to open more stores," said Alexander McQueen's parent company PPR CEO and chairman Francois-Henri Pinault.
"Because of the vision that she is bringing, I think it can now reach more people than we imagined was possible through the store network."

Alexander McQueen boutique is located at Unit N2-12 & 22, Sanlitun Village North, a leading luxury retail mall in Beijing's Chaoyang District.
The 400sqm, two storey boutique features ready-to-wear men's and women's clothing and accessories. The second level accommodates private dressing area exclusively designed for Alexander McQueen's clients.

With an organic space that is softly lightened, the boutique mimics the design of other flagships in Milan, London and new York.
Prior to the opening, Sarah Burton conducted events in Beijing. A fashion show featuring the recreated Autumn-Winter 2011 that was shown in Paris was held.

Alexander McQueen joins luxury peers Burberry, Prada and Christian Dior in Asia.
PPR Company will also launch its other label Stella McCartney in the next 12 to 15 months in China.
